Immigration detention has increasingly been on the UN agenda over the past 2 years.

The IDC has been working at the international level, as well as regionally, through education, networking, advocacy, reporting and research, with a particular focus on preventing and limiting the use of, seeking alternatives to, and using the least restrictive forms of, immigration detention.

This IDC report aims to provide a brief on the developments and gaps on the immigration detention issue at the UN level over the past few years. Download the report.
