The IDC has created a training package on working with people in places of immigration detention. The training includes: 1) Detention Standards 2) Background to Detention Monitoring 3) Considerations in working with Detainees, including psychosocial needs and casework models 4) Worker self-care. It also includes a section in standards relating to children and considerations in working with children in places of immigration detention.
