Alwalid Musa

Committee Member

Alwalid Musa is a senior finance professional with over 20 years of international
experience across the non-profit and corporate sectors. With a strong background in
financial management and strategic planning, he has worked in multicultural and
globally networked organisations, contributing to the development of sustainable
financial frameworks. His expertise lies in optimising financial processes to enhance
efficiency and long-term stability in complex, international environments.
He holds a key financial role at Greenpeace International, where he focuses on
financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. His work supports informed decision-
making and contributes to the organisation’s overall financial management.
Alwalid holds a B.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from the University of Khartoum and
an ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business. Fluent in Dutch, English,
and Arabic, he brings a valuable multicultural perspective to his work.
As a member of the International Detention Coalition, he is dedicated to upholding
financial integrity and advancing sustainable financial practices in support of the
coalition’s mission.
