LUCY BOWRING joined the IDC as the Capacity Building Coordinator in 2010. Prior to that, she worked for years in the field of social work across various international contexts, ranging from Australia to Darfur.
Lucy is passionate about utilising case management practices to develop and achieve humane approaches to managing migration around the world. Lucy has a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic, a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Social Science in International Development from RMIT. Lucy also contributed to ‘There Are Alternatives‘ (IDC, 2011) and ‘Captured Childhood‘ (IDC, 2012).
Lucy currently coordinates the IDC’s capacity building program, and has a long history working with the IDC, previously coordinating the Middle East and North Africa, and Africa regions. Lucy is based in Melbourne, Australia.
