BUDAPEST (10 February) – The European Network on Statelessness (ENS), a network of NGO’s, academics and individual experts who are committed to addressing statelessness in Europe, will be holding a conference from 2-3 June in Hungary entitled “None of Europe’s Children Should be Stateless.” The conference will be a central activity of ENS’s new campaign to end childhood statelessness in Europe, and will be a platform for sharing research and knowledge about the causes and impacts of child statelessness. The conference will also explore legal and programming interventions that seek to enforce children’s right to nationality.

The ENS is calling for the submission of papers regarding research, policy or projects related to childhood statelessness in Europe. Presentations may be focused on good practices with respect to the prevention of childhood statelessness, or on providing deeper insight into the impact of statelessness on children in Europe.

This event is part of the #ibelong campaign and aims to support UNHCR’s new 10-year global campaign to end statelessness by 2024.
