IDC conducted its annual Africa Regional Workshop from the 29th – 30th of April in Nairobi, Kenya.
Building on the momentum created by campaigners all over the continent who are part of the Global Campaign to End Child Detention, IDC members discussed the successes of their various International Day of Action activities in 2014 and plans to take the movement forward in 2015.
A region-wide mapping project was launched in order to ensure quality data is available to decision makers, with findings to be released at a side event at the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights in late 2015.
