MTMelanie Teff is Unicef UK’s Senior Humanitarian Advocacy& Policy Adviser. Previously she worked as the International Rescue Committee’s Senior Emergency Response Team Advocacy & Policy Coordinator. Prior to joining the IRC, she worked with Refugees International for seven years where she conducted numerous humanitarian assessments in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East, and advocated on behalf of conflict and disaster-affected people with the U.S. and U.K.  governments and the United Nations. Prior to this she worked with the Jesuit Refugee Service and coordinated their advocacy and policy work around the world. She also worked for nine years as a lawyer in the U.K. with a specialty in child protection. Melanie has an LLB in Law and Politics from the University of Birmingham (U.K.) and a Masters in International Human Rights Law from the University of Essex (U.K.).
