ECRE releases a new report, Right to Justice: Quality Legal Assistance for Unaccompanied Children 

The Guardian opens up debate about the term “illegal immigrant”, stating ‘no person is illegal’ and the publisher will not use the term going forward.

The Oxford Journal analyses the implications of the CJEU ruling for France. IDC analyses the ruling here.

Al Jazeera’s The Stream discusses migration from Africa to Europe calling it a ‘perilous passage’.

The German Federal High Court declares detention under Dublin III Regulation ‘unlawful’

Simultaneously the UK High Court rules on unfair detention of asylum seekers, with IDC coverage on the positive ruling here.

Meanwhile in Italy the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention calls for action to end over-incarceration and to protect rights of migrants.
