2GENEVA (9 April 2014) – Following a successful Human Rights Council side event entitled “A Global Strategy to End Child Immigration Detention” held in
Geneva, Switzerland
on 14 March 2014, the IDC- together with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)-convened a multi-stakeholder meeting of child rights advocates from across the UN system and key civil society organisations to form an Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) on child immigration detention.
