IDC members from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica and Ecuador joined members from other regions at the annual IDC member meeting.
While in Geneva, IDC Americas staff attended numerous meetings with various UN agencies, including an annual follow-up meeting with the UNHCR’s Bureau for the Americas, with agreement on priority areas being Central America and the Caribbean, as well as child migration in the region.
Furthermore, IDC together with members, met with UNHCR in a separate meeting to discuss regional collaboration within the framework of the 30th anniversary commemorations of the Cartagena Declaration (Cartagen@ 30), to be held during 2014.
The IDC was able to share with members and UN officials copies of our new research “Dignity without Exception”, an assessment of opportunities for ATD in Mexico. Read full article.
