The search is on!
Across the Americas region we seek the best judgement that provides the right to access to justice for migrants and persons subject to international protection.
The award is a joint initiative between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Rapporteurship on the Human Rights of Migrants of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), the Mexican Association of Justice Providers (Asociación Mexicana de Impartidores de Justicia, A.C.) and Sin Fronteras IAP.
This call is open to all bodies that administer justice (either judiciary courts or courts of contentious administrative proceedings) in the Americas. It aims to promote legal analysis on the highest national and international standards of human rights law and international refugee law.
The deadline for nominations is June, 10 2016
The recognition ceremony will be held August 12, 2016, during the Second Regional Forum on the Judiciary and the Human Rights of Migrants and Persons Subject to International Protection, at the Supreme Court’s facilities in Mexico City.
