An exhibit on the impact of detention on children and families has been exhibiting at key international events to raise the message: children do not belong in detention.

“I dream of getting out of this place…to be able to study one day…to have a better future for my life.”

Curated by CultureStrike with the support of the Global Campaign to End Child Detention, the exhibit was launched at the United Nations Palais des Nations in Geneva during the 30th Session of the Human Rights Council, alongside a panel commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families.

The exhibit then showed alongside the UN General Assembly as part of an event, “Protecting the Liberty of Migrant Children“.

Most recently the exhibit has travelled to Istanbul as part of the civil society days at the Global Forum on Migration and Development.
