Chanya Kahintapong joined IDC as an Asia Pacific Programme Assistant. In this role, she supports Asia Pacific regional programme coordination and implementation, advocacy, research, communications, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, reporting, and peer-learning initiatives across the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining IDC, Chanya worked with HOST International Thailand as a case management team lead. In this role, she designed and implemented community-based programmes, managed multi-stakeholder projects, strengthened the capacities of community and youth-led groups, and coordinated with international stakeholders and refugee and migrant communities. Her work focuses on implementing alternatives to detention, advancing refugee and migrant rights, strengthening community-based protection, and supporting child protection case management.

Before joining IDC, Chanya holds a Master of Science in Regional and Rural Development Planning from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), under Royal Thai Government Fellowship (RTG). She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Thammasat University, with a minor in Labour and Welfare Administration.
