Hiram Muriuki joined IDC in April 2026 as Administration Coordinator, where the systems he helps build and maintain, across the organisation, free up IDC's global, fully remote team to focus on the coalition building and advocacy that work toward a world without immigration detention.

His route into this work has taken him through local government, hospitality, and multinational and non profit settings, and each has left its mark on how he approaches administration: precise where precision matters, flexible where people matter more. He sees good administration as quiet, structural work that lets a mission driven team move faster and with less friction. He is a Full Member of the Institute of Certified Administrators and holds a Bachelor of Commerce.
