IDC membership is exclusive to non-governmental participants. This includes civil society but excludes government or intergovernmental entities, UN human rights bodies, political parties and media organisations.
Membership is open to civil society organisations, grassroots groups, practitioners, academics and individuals working to reduce and ultimately end immigration detention.
By applying for IDC membership, you confirm that you are directly involved in immigration detention or broader migration work — including through advocacy, research, campaigning, collaboration or policy change.
