The IDC’s Asia-Pacific Regional Coordinator, in her capacity as Chair of the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network’s (APRRN) Immigration Detention Working Group, attended the Regional Consultation of the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) with Civil Society Organizations.

ACWC Commissioners were briefed on the IDC and APPRN’s work in the region on developing and piloting alternatives to detention for children, as well as their work with other regional bodies on alternatives to detention.
