Ending the detention of children is on the agenda for IDC      members across Africa. IDC members in Uganda and Kenya are  planning campaign activities to coincide with the International  Day of Action to End Child Detention on November 20, 2014.   To  get involved, contact Susan ([email protected]) at the Refugee Law Project in Uganda, or Noela Barasa ([email protected]) at RMMS  in Kenya for more information .

If you can’t be there on the day, you can certainly get  involved with online support, just look out for facebook posts and twitter updates and share widely on the day.

Of note this month also, civil society in South Africa call for action following the support of the South Africa Human Rights Commission report detailing human rights abuses at the Lindela Repatriation Centre.
