Nepal’s NGO ICCPR Shadow Report, prepared by the Human Rights Treaty Monitoring Coordination Center (HRTMCC) and coordinated by IDC member INHURED International, was submitted this May to the UN Human Rights Committee for its consideration in July 2013.

In addition to offering civil society’s analysis of the civil and political rights situation in Nepal over the last 15 years, the report also details the country’s treatment of refugees, asylum seekers and undocumented migrants, including their vulnerability to arrest, detention and deportation.

Our members and partners regularly make submissions to treaty monitoring bodies and other international mechanisms concerning the detention of non-citizens – please continue to share these with us.
