Dignity Without Exception: Mexico

This report is the result of research conducted in 2012 on the feasibility of implementing alternatives to immigration detention in Mexico. Findings are based on 32 interviews and meetings with key stakeholders from civil society, international bodies, consulates and government agencies that specialize in asylum, migration and children’s rights. The report presents a series of recommendations to prevent and reduce unnecessary detention of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees in Mexico.
